Jay was over for Sunday dinner, and everything was really good. Pork shoulder is my favorite cut of meat, although I’ve made better versions of it. The torte was interesting, but probably not something I’d make again.
- Braised Pork Shoulder with Cumin, Cinnamon and Almonds (A Ligurian Kitchen: Recipes And Tales from the Italian Riviera, p. 160)
- Simple Roasted Potatoes with Olive Oil, Rosemary & Thyme (A Ligurian Kitchen: Recipes And Tales from the Italian Riviera, p. 170)
- Chocolate-Pomegranate Torte (Fine Cooking #96, October 2008, p. 88)
Wine: Fattoria di Delsina 2005 Chianti Classico (Italy). Passable but not great.
Yay! I’ve been anxiously awaiting PC updates!
The torte is beautiful.
