Jay came for dinner tonight – halibut again. Trader Joe’s had steamed fava beans in the fresh vegetable section, so I used those for the fava bean puree. They’re pretty convenient, but are brown instead of green. We really liked everything tonight – the halibut had a nice crust and would be good even without the mashed favas. The sweet potatoes are really good and easy to put together. The cake isn’t my favorite because it’s got raisins in it, but Larry and Jay liked it.

I think I would like to make that cake w/o the raisins. How was the cake part of it? I like the book.
The cake part was pretty good. Actually, there are other cakes I like better (the banana bundt cake for sure) but this one got rave reviews. I like the book, too – it took a while for it to grow on me, but I finally bought it last week.
