Tonight I made an effort to stay away from pork since I’ve made it for Jay the last two times he’s been over for dinner. It was chicken tonight, crusted with breadcrumbs and parmesan – really good. We also really liked the quinoa. I ran out of regular quinoa so I had to use a couple tablespoons of red quinoa mixed in, and it turned out really pretty. We loved the cake.

Wine: Casa Nuestra 2006 Tinto Classico (Oakville, California). Larry and Jay really liked this wine. I didn’t have any (a little problem with my sense of taste lately has made wine taste bad, the horror!), but I liked it when we tasted it.
That cake has been getting rave reviews.
