I was perusing through an old issue of Fine Cooking magazine when I spotted this recipe – they looked so good, and are similar to the chocolate chip double decker brownies I love from The Weekend Baker. Lo and behold, these are a twist on the original, and the recipe author is the same (Abby Dodge, who writes terrific recipes).
I took most of these to work, and everyone went nuts over them.

Oh, my…. these look decadent! I will ask one of our graduate students if his allergies include macadamia nuts, if they don’t, I’m making these for our next lab meeting!
