Each week in my Spanish class, one student is responsible for bringing in snacks for everyone. This was my week, so of course I went nuts, having an excuse to bake. I stuck with some reliable standards, but also included alfajores, a butter cookie with dulce de leche sandwiched in between. I tried making my own dulce de leche (using milk and sugar), but I ended up with a giant crystallized mess. Nestle to the rescue. These cookies are just okay. A little dry, no matter how little I cooked them.
