I wasn’t crazy about this cake. Larry says it’s growing on him, but I don’t know, there’s just something about the flavor that I didn’t like. I took most of it to work for a Thursday afternoon happy hour and a lot of people had more than one piece, so maybe it’s just me.
The cake has a nice cream cheese frosting on top, but works great as a breakfast cake without the frosting. To see the other entries from this week’s Baked Sunday Mornings head on over to Baked Sunday Mornings. And the recipe can be found at Pass the Sushi.

yours looks nice and moist! i’d eat it ;)
Looks fantastic with the frosting…. I didn’t have time or the sweet tooth, but will try that next time. Plus, it’s delicious as is too!
Sorry you didn’t like it. I actually really enjoyed it and never would have made it if it wasn’t for the group. Glad your work friends enjoyed it.
Your cake does looks so soft and moist — it looks wonderful (and makes me think I might have overbaked mine). I’m with the people who ate more than one piece!
Sorry…maybe you are like my mom…just does not enjoy oatmeal and also not oatmeal cake…something the matter with her tastebuds in my opinion. We loved this cake and I’m sure your office mates did too. Your piece does look tasty and very moist…looks like I would enjoy eating it!
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy this cake, but I have to admit to taking things to work that I’ve made for another on-line cooking group – LOL! I did like this one, though.
Thanks so much for stepping in to keep this group going!
Hi, Sheri. I’m sorry you didn’t like this one, but your cake looks so moist and delicious.
Thank you for posting my link on the round up. I am not on Facebook, so I haven’t been able to post my link on the BAKED Sunday Mornings page. I really appreciate that you have taken the time to step in. Take Care!
