I haven’t fully given up on trying pumpkin pie recipes. I’m still looking for the one that Larry says is spectacular. It’s hard to make something great when I hate it, though. Anyway – I had high expectations for this one, since it’s from one of my favorite books. But Larry said it was good, not great. I suspect it has more to do with the baker and less to do with the recipe. This one made too much filling for a standard pie plate and needs to be made in a deep dish plate.
