I returned to the first Baked book again after two months – how could I have ignored it for so long? I usually bake out of it at least once a month, but it’s a case of too many delicious recipes, not enough time (or stomach capacity).
I picked this recipe at random, just looking for something that used things that I already had in my pantry. The bars are pretty simple – a standard graham cracker crust is the only part of the bars that is actually baked. The filling is a mixture of cream and milk and dark chocolates, with chunks of marshmallow and salty peanuts folded into it. The whole thing is topped with more peanuts, and then it goes into the refrigerator.
I’m not a big peanut fan but I thought these were okay. They got a hearty thumbs-up from Dan. I like that they cut very cleanly and have an interesting look. Get the recipe for the bars at Amateur Gourmet.

These do photograph well, Sheri! I haven’t tried them yet, but they look like the perfect thing to bring to a potluck.
I made the PB&J Bars last night – they weren’t my favorite, but it was fun to try something different.
They’d be great for a potluck! I hate it when bars turn out messy, no matter how delicious they are.
