It’s salmon season, so we were happy to get fresh, local salmon from SirenSeaSA.
We grilled the salmon outside, and it was so good it really didn’t even need anything with it. The pesto is nice, but I think I like regular basil pesto better. And the salmon – did I mention it’s really, really good?
I made a grain salad to go with the salmon, something I’ve done quite a bit in the past, but I’ve never used spelt berries before. I don’t know why – it’s just another form of wheat, and I think I might even like it better than farro. We really liked the final result.
Larry enjoyed grilled asparagus as well, but I declined – it’s about my least favorite food ever. More for him!
