I like my cocktails, but after making this shooter I can definitively say I’m more of a cocktail sipper, not a gulper.
Libations change over time with a bit of dilution from ice (most of the time for the better). I find myself using big chunky blocks of ice even when a drink is supposed to be served up, no ice.
This shooter is visually striking, even though I wasn’t crazy about the flavor. Tequila isn’t my favorite spirit, and the flavor is very prominent here. The gorgeous color comes from a bit of blue curacao. The drink style is called a coral, which refers to the use of an aromatic liqueur to adhere salt to the rim of a glass.
