I love to bake, but I’m a little bit excited to return to an every-other-week schedule for Baked Sunday Mornings. All of my other baking books have been sorely neglected for the past few months. Right now I’m dreaming of making kougin amann, although I’ve gotten a taste of it twice this week thanks to Emma and her delicious recipe testing.
So, these cookies. There’s some cream cheese in the batter, which adds richness and makes them soft and tender. There’s a triple hit of chocolate – cocoa powder, melted chocolate, and chocolate chips. And they’re like little clouds of chocolatey heaven when eaten just out of the oven.
I love chocolate cookies. And I love these cookies. Even better – they’re pretty easy to make. They definitely benefit from some time in the refrigerator before they’re baked off, but other than that they took very little time to make.

Beautiful Sheri! Mine came out a tad flatter than I would like. But these are delish!
Looks great! They are easy to make and really good! I like that the chocolate comes through without being overly sweet.
They look great! I too am glad to being back to baking with BSM every two weeks! I might get to participate a bit more ;)
I love your description of little clouds of chocolately heaven!

I’m glad you enjoyed these – I expected a little more.
Enjoy your week!
