This trifle isn’t one of my favorite recipes from Baked Occasions, but I liked it more than I thought it would.
There are a bunch of different parts to the trifle – and it’s huge, so I made a full pound cake but cut back on all the other ingredients (it was still way too much for four people).
The base is a buttery pound cake that’s perfect on its own. In addition, there’s a chai spiced pastry cream that’s prepared ahead of time. Once those are done, it can be assembled pretty quickly – just add berries and whipped cream.
