These little cupcakes aren’t the best version of brownies I’ve ever made, but they’re still pretty good. Little chocolate bombs in a compact, easy to transport package, they’re perfect for back to school or for packing into a weekday lunch.
There’s not a lot to these – a bit of batter in each cupcake tin, and topped with chopped walnuts and chocolate. The recipe says it makes 48, but I got closer to 60. It makes a LOT of little cupcakes. Luckily, I’ve got a brunch potluck to go to today, so these little morsels will come with me.

Sounds like most of us were in agreement– these were good enough, but not really “brownies”. I’m thinking maybe minimal stirring of the ingredients or mixing by hand would make them less cakey? Anyway, still tasty– I’m really digging the chocolate/walnut combo thanks to BAKED!
