These delicious little shortbread bars are just delightful. I’m not usually a fan of coffee-flavored desserts, but it’s fairly subtle. What I really like about these are the pockets of caramelized sugar.
Coffee flavor in the bars comes from two sources – a bit of cold brew, and some ground espresso. I used Chameleon vanilla cold brew concentrate because this non-coffee drinker is totally addicted to Chameleon cold brew.
Other than the need to make up the caramelized sugar bits, these are pretty straightforward to make. And they’re definitely better the next day. If you don’t have a copy of Ovenly, you can still find the recipe here. But really. Get yourself a copy. It’s well worth it.
