These are a pretty straightforward cookie – super chocolate-y, nice chewy texture, and a messy powdered sugar coating that makes for a very pretty presentation.
I didn’t add fleur de sel to the top of the cookies when they came out of the oven, but I wish I did. Almost every dessert is better with a bit of salt. I didn’t leave it out on purpose…. just got distracted.
One note on these, I don’t think I made them any larger than they should have been. I used a #50 disher, and I still only got 18 cookies. Next time, I’ll go with a slightly smaller disher to see if I can get a couple more out of the batch.

Fascinating! I had no problem getting 32 out of the batch and they were decent sized. They look great!
