I killed two birds with one stone this week, making the next two things on the Baked Sunday Mornings schedule. Boozy hot chocolate and tasty marshmallows make a delicious mid-day lazy Sunday treat.
The hot chocolate is fairly rich, more like a drinking chocolate. Mine was probably a little on the sweeter side since I used some leftover ganache I had in the refrigerator instead of the recipe standard of milk and dark chocolates.
The Amaretto can be left out (or subbed with another spirit of your choice), but the almond is nice with the chocolate.
The marshmallows – I’ve made them before – are great. Homemade marshmallows beat store-bought ever time, and I don’t think I’ve ever actually made a bad batch at home.
